Mille-Feuille Jeongol/Nabe(also called Thousand Leaves Hot Pot) is a hot pot came from Japan. Layered with stacks of fresh cabbage, thinly sliced beef and mushrooms, the final appearance looks like an art piece. Mille-feuille jeongol is a perfect dish for a special occasion, great for large and families as it is possible to prepare everything ahead of time and just cook it right after the guests arrive.
Hotteok is a popular Korean street food made from a simple yeast dough with a sweet syrupy filling made with brown sugar, cinnamon and walnuts. It makes a tasty snack or dessert, and could even be enjoyed as a meal! The chewy hotteok dough is fried in a little oil in a hot pan to make a golden crispy outer shell surrounding a sweet honeylike syrup. Once you taste it, you will crave it every winter!
Baesuk, as its name indicates, it's cooked("bae"=pear, "suk"=cook) pear. Baesuk is great for colds, especially sore throats and coughs. It can also be a delicious dessert as cooked pear forms sweet juice on the bottom. In the class, we are going to add some balloon flower roots in order to maximize the remedial effect.
