Hanji literally means “the paper of Korea”.
The main material is the fibrous skin from
mulberry trees so it is a strong and long
lasting material unlike the regular indust-
rial paper. It is used in a variety of ways;
it is used to make furniture such as a side night stand, a lamp or even a big chest-
box.
Join us every Thursday morning to
discover this Korean traditional medium.
You may choose from a variety of objects
realizable with Hanji by consulting a
catalog on display at the center.
Once you choose your item, we would
need at least one week to prepare the
starting kit. Material cost is paid in
advance prior to the first class.
